BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Nottingham, held the this year’s Diwali and Annakut celebrations at the Mandir on Palm Street, Basford, on Sunday 2 November 2008. Approximately 350 people visited throughout the day.
The Annakut lovingly comprised of over 225 different items of food and drink artistically assembled before the murtis. The first arti took place at 1.00pm before the start of the assembly at 3.00pm. After the final arti at 5.00pm, all the devotees and visitors were served a hot meal together with prasad from the Annakut itself. |
