Holi Festival
was traditionally celebrated with great fanfare at the BAPS
Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Neasden on Tuesday 14 March. The shrines
in the Mandir were adorned in beautiful colourful attire and
devotees streamed in to offer their devotion from dawn.
Adjacent
to the grounds of The Swaminarayan School, the festival of Holi
commenced with traditional Vedic prayers and ceremonies at 6.15pm.
Devotees performed poojan of the sacred images of Thakorji and
Lord Vishnu, which were placed adjacent to the large fire where
sanctified coconuts were offered as prasadi to visitors.
