Adjacent
to the grounds of The Swaminarayan School, the festival of Holi
commenced with traditional Vedic prayers and ceremonies on the
evening of Friday 25th March 2005. Sacred images of Thakorji
and Lord Vishnu were placed adjacent to the large fire where
sanctified coconuts were offered as prasadi to visitors. Thousands
of people gathered for this traditional celebration.
