'Understanding Hinduism' A Unique Exhibition
The exhibition describes the glory and greatness of Hinduism and the significant contributions by India in all fields. The permanent exhibition is spread over 3000 square feet on the ground floor. The ancient wisdom is presented through appealing visual effects, paintings, tableaux and traditional craftwork. The exhibition systematically deals with the origin, beliefs, glory and contribution of Hindu seers and scholars in the field of mathematics, astronomy, medicine, education and religion. The illustrious heroes of faith and culture such as Nachiketa, Shravan, Rantideva, Sita - presented in colorful 3-D miniature dioramas - eloquently reflect the core of Hindu ethics and culture.
 
'Understanding Hinduism' is a well researched presentation of facts, figures and information.

For novice or the scholar the exhibition is simulating and enlightening.
 
Hinduism's broad-mindedness has encouraged a high level of social and scientific advancement in almost every field. In a pavilion of peace, the array of visual effects has brought Hinduism to the doorstep of the West who can now appreciate what lofty ideals Hinduism stands for; what it has given in science, medicine and arts, and what is being contributed now to carve a better world for all.

Opening Times: 9.00am to 6.00 pm

Entrance Fees:

  • Adults - £2.00
  • Children (Age 6-16) - £1.50
  • Senior Citizens - £1.50
    *Price includes entrance to the Exhibition and Video presentation.

The Video Presentation explains how the Mandir was built, and traces the various stages of construction and how the Murtis were installed. The significance of the Mandir is explained together with a brief on the various activities that take within the Mandir.

Payment can be made on the day of your visit by CASH, CHEQUE (payable to C.F.I. Limited) or by CREDIT CARD.

Donation cheques payable to 'BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, UK.'

Please note: Entry to the Mandir and Haveli is free of charge.
